Katie Holzworth, LCSW, PMH-C

Katie is a licensed clinical social worker with 10 years of experience working with people in an outpatient mental health setting. She graduated with a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh in 2010 and has worked in both community-based and private practice offices since graduation. Katie is credentialed as a Perinatal Mental Health Specialist through Postpartum Support International’s (PMH-C). Katie has been specializing in perinatal mental health and transition to parenthood for approximately five years. In addition to this, she has extensive experience treating trauma survivors and is a Level 1 practitioner of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is an evidence-based treatment utilized to reduce symptoms surrounding traumatic and anxiety-provoking experiences). Katie particularly enjoys exploring and processing identity shifts and changes that occur throughout parenthood and clients can expect a candid approach from her, with warmth, support, and growth in each session. Katie has special experience with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, supporting the NICU experience, the transition to motherhood, termination for medical reasons, traumatic grief and loss.
