August News: We're Moving To Our Forever Home

Dear friends,

This is a pivotal moment in my life when I have to be true to the call of personal and professional growth.  I need to wade deeper into this moving river, even though my knees are knocking, because it’s going to take me somewhere special that I’ve never been before.  It’s with so much excitement that we officially announce that the Maternal Wellness Center is moving! We have closed on our forever home in Hatboro -- 4 miles up the road from where we are now. After Labor Day, you’ll find us in this adorable borough: right off Main Street at 67 Byberry Road. We are thrilled that our new space will allow us to offer expanded programming and new services in beautiful Victorian charm.

Our incredible team has just plain outgrown our Abington suite: our new space will give us additional room to serve our community in new and exciting ways while continuing to provide the innovative services and care that underscore our mission to be the premier maternal wellness organization in our area. As it turns out, bigger community spaces, airy therapy offices, and drop-in hours for isolated parents are absolutely crucial during an unprecedented global pandemic. Besides expanding our staff by three (plus one intern), we have assembled a full-fledged Operations Team to ensure that our growing wellness center continues to run smoothly behind the scenes.  We are also pleased to be able to bring several other women-owned businesses along with us to serve our community with their specialty complementary care.  Please pinch me, because I do feel like I’m in a dream!  The talent, diversity and passion in this group of women is astounding; I feel fortunate beyond belief that I can call something so fulfilling and exciting my “work”. Keep reading below for our new staff introductions as well as information about the businesses who will be joining us as members of the Maternal Wellness Collective.

Aside from the expansion of services and partners, there are so many reasons that I am thrilled about our new Hatboro location. This new location brings us closer to our Bucks County patronsho have always schlepped the furthest, but it is still convenient for our Montco and Philadelphia folks. The charming Main Street has the coffee shops, lunch-spots, and baked treats that we all need. We’ve added a swing and some new rocking chairs on our porch where you can chat with the friends you’ll make here.  I have always known in my deepest self that this work we do here is sacred and it’s vital. Given what we’re all living through right now, I truly feel that it is more important than ever for me to take this leap.So we will put down some deeper roots, grow the branches even taller, and fully enjoy the experience.

Recognizing that many of us are in a vulnerable place, our goal is to meet you where you feel safest: you can either visit us in person or continue to access our services with the convenience of telehealth. As always, our physical office continues to adhere to the strictest safety protocols: our Covid Safety Plan is included for your reference in this month’s newsletter.  The coffee will be on, as always, so come by and say hello! Book a massage, schedule that therapy sessionyou’ve been putting off, come to the support groups and classes that fit what you’re needing right now. You’ll be so glad you did, and we can’t wait to give you a tour when the new office opens in September

Warmly,
Kellie Wicklund, LPC, PMH-C
