HNY News: In-network psych care, child/family therapy + more...

Dear friends,

I have long loved the quote by F. Buechner: "Here is the world. Beautiful and terrible things will happen. Don't be afraid."

We've just lived through a really terrible year, and I think I can speak for us all when I acknowledge that there were times of deep fear and uncertainty. We were here to lend support to you through the long and sleepless nights. Some of you navigated a new world of solo Ob-Gyn + fertility appointments. Others experienced painful pregnancy loss made even more isolating. For some, there have been postpartum experiences that were much lonelier than ever imagined or seemingly unending days (still!) of social distancing with raucous and bored children. You let us walk with you through all of it, and we continue to be honored by you choosing us for care at the most vulnerable and tenuous times.

In the midst of the tumult and trials, we also had some beautiful things happen for us as an organization. We grew our team and found a new home to serve our patrons that is centrally located in Hatboro. We continue to find new ways to serve the community that we now inhabit. In that spirit, it is with so much excitement that I introduce two new service offerings and members of the Maternal Wellness Center team.

We are now able to provide in-network psychiatric consultations through a new partnership with Vital Healthcare Solutions. Physician's Assistant, Jenny Spicer PA-C specializes in Maternal Mental Health and will be on-site every Monday for consultations and medication management. This was a missing piece of our care model, and it will be such an asset to our patients, or anyone in need of this service.

We also welcome a newly-transplanted Philadelphian Katie Holzer, LCSW who comes to us with 5 years of perinatal mental health experience and a sub-specialty in trauma. She is available on-site Tuesdays and Thursdays and has telehealth appointments other days of the week. She is excited to have in-person co-workers again, and we are so happy for the warmth and wisdom she brings to us.

Finally, we are also welcoming JaNae West who brings a deep breadth of experience serving children and families along with specialization to support individual adults in the peripartum climate. Our most versatile clinician yet, JaNae can see adults, children (aged 3-10) and families of young children for a wide range of support options. JaNae is a natural, and her insights and talents will be an immediate gift to a family that find themselves in a tough spot.

We also had great fun getting our new digs photographed by Barone Photo , see below to explore some of the new corners and nooks of our home. Come and see us in the new year! Coffee is on; smiles are under the masks, and we have space for you in our community -- whatever your need may be.

Warmly,
Kellie Wicklund, LPC, PMH-C
